Challenges & Preparation

• The existing paintwork was in poor condition, with various-sized cracks and delaminating paint.

• Height safety considerations required the use of heavy-duty scaffolding, erected by an independent qualified contractor to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.

• The entire surface was high-pressure washed, and certain deteriorated areas were stripped back to bare plaster.

Crack Repairs & Protective Coatings

• All cracks were chopped open and repaired to minimize the likelihood of future movement-related damage.

• Due to the extensive hairline cracking in the plaster, we specified and applied Sika Sikalastic 560, a high-performance, flexible waterproofing membrane to improve durability and prevent future surface failure.

Painting & Finishing

• A full prime coat of Plascon Professional Plaster Primer was applied to ensure optimal adhesion and longevity.

• Two top coats of Plascon Professional Low Sheen in standard white provided a clean, fresh, and weather-resistant finish.
